Coffee antidotes homeopathic medicine

I was at the airport at 5:30 am to pick up a friend this morning and we headed to one of our favourite haunts to have an early breakfast. I don’t drink coffee anymore. I used to drink up to 8 – 10 cups a day when I was much younger but I now drink green tea most of the time. This morning I felt like a “perk” – you know – when you need some “get up and go”. Coffee does that. Instead of regular coffee I ordered a decafe. I saw it being poured. I drank it.

Around 11 am I started to feel bad. I realized that I was feeling the symptoms I had before I started on a new remedy a couple of days ago. The decafe coffee had antidoted my remedy.

I used to be a stickler for disallowing coffee drinking while on homeopathic remedies and then, as time went by, loosened up to allow a regular coffee drinker a 1 cup a day limit. I slackened off because some homeopaths have said that they found coffee doesn’t affect the remedy. Not so – it absolutely does antidote a homeopathic remedy.
